1. Ichidan verbs
Change “-ます” to “-て” in the masu-form.

2. Godan verbs
Verbs with “い”, “ち”, “り” in front of “ます” are changed to “って”.

| 帰ります kaerimasu | 帰って kaette |
Verbs with “み”, “び”, “に” in front of “ます” are changed to “んで”.

Verbs with “き”, “ぎ” in front of “ます” are changed to “いて”, “いで”.

Verbs with “し” in front of “ます” are changed to “して”.

3. Irregular verbs
